New Delhi: The World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C) India office was inaugurated by Minister of State for Communications and IT Sachin Pilot on Thursday.
W3C is engaged in development of common protocols on the web, developing of standards and recommendations for web access.
The establishment of new W3C India office space gives it a permanent entity and would play more active and crucial role in proliferation of W3C standards among ICT industry and users to make India truly a knowledge-based society.
