Mumbai fire guts three shopping plazas, no casualties
A major fire gutted three popular shopping complexes in south Mumbai early Saturday, the fire brigade said. There were no casualties. According to a fire brigade official, the fire broke out around 3.30 a.m. in the Sara-Sahara Mall, barely a stone's throw away from Mumbai Police Commissionerate at Crawford Market. The blaze quickly spread from Sara-Sahara Mall to the adjoining Manish Market and Mohta Market, both reputed for their array of electronic and electrical consumer goods, and situated in a thickly congested area. The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
