Abu Azmi seeks explanation on quashing of FIR against Raj Thackeray

Samajwadi Party leader Abu Azmi today sought explanation from Maharashtra government about the Bombay High Court's quashing of a case against Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray, and asked whether Congress-NCP government was hand in glove with MNS and Shiv Sena. Police had filed a case against Raj in 2008 for making a speech against north Indians which led to incidents of violence in the city. But the HC, earlier this week, set aside the FIR, as police had not obtained mandatory sanction of the state government before initiating action. In
