No change in USD/JPY’s outlook. We’ll remain slightly bearish as long as 77.48 resistance holds and favor an eventual downside break out through 75.94 support. Nevertheless, sustained break of 77.48 will argue that whole decline from 85.51 is possibly over and further rise would be seen back towards 80.23 resistance.

Sikh temple blast injures two volunteers
TWO women were taken to hospital after an explosion at a Sikh temple yesterday.
The pair suffered lacerations to their legs following an explosion in the kitchen of the Sri Guru Nanak Gurdwara temple in Nelson Street in Dundee around 9am yesterday.
The explosion is thought to have been caused by a cooking appliance.
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesman confirmed two female Gurdwara volunteers were taken to Ninewells Hospital.
The women, aged 50 and 32, who were in the kitchen area, were treated at the scene before

Moody’s: Belgium could face downgrade

Credit rating agency Moody’s Investors Service late Friday said it was putting Belgium on notice for a possible downgrade.
The announcement came after markets closed and was the latest of three from either Moody’s or rival Fitch Ratings during the day focusing attention on Europe’s debt and banking crisis.
Moody’s announcement meant the ratings on Belgium’s government bonds could be downgraded within the next three months from its high rating of Aa1.

U.S. President Barack Obama will hold a news conference Thursday morning, his first since announcing the 7 billion US job creation bill in early September.
Obama is scheduled to speak at the White House East Room beginning at 11 a.m. ET, and is expected to urge Congress to pass the measure.
Since he unveiled his proposals, Obama has been travelling the country trying to rally public support.
Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has said the Senate will vote on the bill next week.
But Republicans oppose a tax increase on million-dollar earners added to the

SCOTLAND’S largest police force has seen almost 56,000 of equipment stolen in five years, new figures reveal.
Between 2006 and the end of 2010, kit worth around 55,973 had been stolen including Strathclyde Police jackets, hats and radios.
The figures were released following freedom of information requests sent to all eight police forces in Scotland.

George Osborne refuses to loosen Tory deficit reduction policy
CHANCELLOR George Osborne ruled out unfunded tax cuts or increases in public spending today, warning: “You can’t borrow your way out of debt.”
Speaking to the Conservative Party conference in Manchester, Mr Osborne rejected calls to loosen his deficit reduction policy, warning that even a few billion pounds worth of additional spending would put at risk Britain’s credibility on the international markets and force up interest rates.
