Obama to push jobs bill at media conference

U.S. President Barack Obama will hold a news conference Thursday morning, his first since announcing the 7 billion US job creation bill in early September.
Obama is scheduled to speak at the White House East Room beginning at 11 a.m. ET, and is expected to urge Congress to pass the measure.
Since he unveiled his proposals, Obama has been travelling the country trying to rally public support.
Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has said the Senate will vote on the bill next week.
